Job Title: Automation Developer Intern

Position Overview 

We are seeking a technically driven Automation Developer Intern to support the design, development, and deployment of business process automations. This role provides hands-on experience working with industry-leading automation platforms including Blue Prism (RPA), Zapier, and Microsoft Power Automate to streamline workflows, eliminate manual tasks, and improve operational efficiency. 

This internship is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow engineering, systems integration, or business process optimization. Interns will gain real-world exposure to enterprise automation environments and client-facing solution development. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in building and testing automation workflows using: 
• Blue Prism (Robotic Process Automation) 
• Zapier (Cloud workflow automation) 
• Microsoft Power Automate (Microsoft ecosystem automation) 
• Document business processes and translate them into automation logic 
• Participate in solution design sessions and technical planning 
• Support debugging, error handling, and optimization of automation scripts 
• Integrate systems such as email platforms, CRMs, databases, and web applications 
• Perform QA testing and validation of deployed automations 
• Maintain technical documentation, process maps, and runbooks 
• Research new automation tools, APIs, and integration capabilities 
• Assist in monitoring automation performance and incident resolution 
• Attend industry networking events, meetups, and professional technology events (strongly encouraged) 

Required Qualifications 

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in: 
• Computer Science 
• Information Systems 
• Engineering 
• Data Analytics 
• or a related technical field 
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability 
• Basic understanding of: 
• APIs and system integrations 
• Data structures (Excel, JSON, CSV, etc.) 
• Business process workflows 
• Comfortable learning new software platforms quickly 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Exposure to RPA or workflow automation tools (Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Automate, Zapier, etc.) 
• Familiarity with: 
• Microsoft 365 ecosystem 
• CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) 
• Web technologies or scripting basics 
• Experience documenting technical processes 
• Located in or near the Phoenix, AZ metro area (preferred but not required) 
• Interest in attending professional networking or technology events
