Role Overview
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for aligning operational execution with revenue growth in a technology-driven automation services environment. This position oversees the Sales department while ensuring operational processes, service delivery models, and financial performance support scalable, profitable growth. The ideal candidate combines operational leadership, commercial acumen, and a strong understanding of automation solutions and enterprise service engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Develop, standardize, and optimize operational processes that support automation solution delivery.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Sales, Technical Delivery, and Client Success functions.
- Establish scalable workflows, documentation standards, and service frameworks.
- Monitor resource allocation, utilization rates, and project margins.
Sales & Revenue Oversight
- Directly manage the Sales department, including performance management, pipeline accountability, and quota attainment.
- Implement structured sales processes aligned with consultative and solution-based selling.
- Support enterprise deal strategy, pricing models, and proposal development.
- Collaborate on Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure operational feasibility and margin protection.
Financial & Performance Management
- Analyze and report on ROI for client automation initiatives and internal operational efficiency.
- Track and manage KPIs including revenue growth, customer acquisition cost (CAC), margin performance, delivery timelines, and client retention.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning.
- Evaluate Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives for technical viability and financial impact
Client & Market Engagement
- Represent the company at networking events, industry conferences, and business forums to build strategic partnerships and drive pipeline growth.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify market trends and recommend new service offerings or operational improvements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and sales leadership.
- Build performance-driven culture with accountability and measurable outcomes.
- Participate in hiring strategy for both operational and sales roles.
- Implement training programs focused on solution selling and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of leadership experience in Operations, Sales Operations, or General Management within a technology, SaaS, consulting, or automation services environment.
- Proven experience managing a Sales department or revenue-generating teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- ROI modeling
- Statements of Work (SOW)
- Proof of Concepts (POC)
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Demonstrated ability to scale operational processes in a services-based business.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent financial literacy and data-driven decision-making skills.

- Willingness and ability to attend networking events and represent the organization externally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in automation technologies (RPA, workflow automation, AI-driven process automation, integration platforms).
- Experience with CRM systems, sales pipeline management, and forecasting tools.
- Knowledge of service pricing models (retainer, project-based, outcome-based).
- Experience in process optimization frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
